IMO STATE GOVT WILL APPRECIATE CORPS MEMBERS WITH OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE — GOV UZODIMMA

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has called on the over 1,200 hundred National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state to harness their skills and talents for the overall development of the area.
In a message to the Swearing-in of the 2023 Batch C Stream 1 corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state, the Governor urged the corps members to take advantage of the orientation to equip themselves for the task of developing their host communities.
He enjoined the young graduates to avail themselves of the opportunities provided by the course, especially the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme to improve their lot.
Governor Uzodimma represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mrs. Chioma Ibezim, recognized the remarkable achievements of the NYSC, emphasizing on its pivotal role in fostering national unity and development.
He gave the assurance that his administration would continue to accord priority to the welfare and safety of corps members in the state.
The Governor added that a reward mechanism was in place to appreciate corps members with outstanding performance.
The Imo State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, commended the corps members for their level of conduct so far, and urged them to continue to give good account of themselves during and after the orientation course.
Mrs. Idaewor enjoined them to remain disciplined, humble and patriotic while striving to adhere to the rules guiding the orientation course.
The Coordinator expressed her gratitude to the State Government and the people of Imo State for their support and solicited more cooperation to enable the scheme to realize its mandate.
Justice Anthonette Onyeukwu administered the Oath of Allegiance on the Corps Members.
