EBONYI STATE GOVT PROMISES TO DONATE TRANSFORMER TO UNITY FM

Ebonyi State government has promised to donate an electricity transformer to Radio Nigeria Unity fm Abakaliki to enhance its broadcast operations.

Governor Francis Nwifuru announced this while receiving the management of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Enugu National Station led by the Zonal Director, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, at Government House Abakaliki.

The Governor noted that he was impressed with the quality of broadcast and coverage of events by Radio Nigeria Unity fm and promised to visit the station for familiarization.

The Zonal Director FRCN Enugu National Station, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, said they were in the state to demonstrate the support of the Corporation to the state government.

He expressed the readiness of FRCN to enter into strategic partnership with the Ebonyi State Government to expand the scope of publicity being given to it’s policies and programmes.

The Zonal Director observed that Ebonyi State Government had maintained visibility at the Network News of FRCN and commended the Governor for his people oriented policies and programmes.

He appealed to the state government for the provision of logistics, including operational vehicles for Radio Nigeria Unity fm Abakaliki to serve the people better.

The Zonal Director also visited Radio Nigeria Unity fm Abakaliki for familiarization.

He was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Director New Media, Mr. Rex Eze; the Deputy Director Sports and OB, Mr. Basil Uzoma; the Acting Zonal Head of News, Uche Ezekwe; and the Head of ICT, Dr. Chika Obi-okonkwo.
