UZODIMMA TASKS YOUTH CORPS MEMBERS ON HARDWORK, ASSURES SECURITY

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has charged the 2023 Batch B Stream ll National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the state to contribute meaningfully towards the development of the state.
He gave the charge in a message to the opening of a orientation course at the Permanent Orientation camp, Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state.
The Govenor admonished them to embrace hard work and noted that the state would always reward corps members who distinguished themselves during the service.
Governor Uzodimma, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mrs. Chioma Ibezim, assured the corps members of adequate protection within and outside the camp noting that his administration had taken measures to forestall insecurity.
The Imo State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, implored the corps members to be good ambassadors by giving good account of themselves, ensuring strict compliance to the rules guiding the scheme.
She also encouraged the corps members to remain disciplined, patriotic, dutifully at all times and integrate among themselves despite their diverse cultural and religious beliefs.
841 youth corps members made up of 364 males and 477 females were sworn in, with Oath of Allegiance administered by Justice Anthonette Onyeukwu of the State High Court.
