POLICE PROMOTE 288 TO ASP IN ANAMBRA

The Police Command in Anambra State has decorated 288 Inspectors with their new rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, performed the ceremony at the Police headquarters, Awka.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, said the decoration was sequel to the approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of the Police Officers on the recommendation of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.

The statement said the State Commissioner of Police congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to rededicate themselves to duty, especially by putting more efforts into protecting the citizenry and securing the state.
