GOV MBA SENDS NAMES OF MORE COMMISSIONER NOMINEES TO ASSEMBLY

The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has requested the approval of the state House of Assembly for the appointment of more commissioners into his cabinet.

In a letter written to the house by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia and read by Speaker, Mr. Uche Ugwu at the plenary on Wednesday, the Governor sent in 5 more names as commissioner nominees for confirmation by the house.

The nominees are: Dr. Martin Chinweike, Mr. Obi Ozor, Mr. Sunday Emeka Ajogwu, Mr. Chris Robert Ozongwu and Dr. Felix Nnamani.

In a motion moved by Mr. Ileabuchi Aniagu, representing Nkanu West constituency, the House agreed to accept the message from the governor and consideration of the nominees fixed for a later day.

Meanwhile, the Speaker directed the clerk to communicate the nominees to appear for screening at the House by 10am Thursday August 10, 2023.
