Pray for the country in its most difficult time, Obiano, Obi, others urge Nigerians

PROMINENT Nigerians including Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, his predecessor Mr. Peter Obi and Speaker House of Representatives Aminu Dogara, yesterday, in Obosi Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, urged Nigerians to pray for the country as she goes through most difficult time in the history. Among others who spoke in the same way included Corp Marshall and Chief Executive of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi and his predecessor and immediate past Minister of Aviation Chief Osita Chidioka. They spoke during the church service marking the end of Diocese on the Niger Synod held at St Andrews Anglican Church, Obosi, and commissioning of Juliana Obumnwe Chidioka Hall built and donated by Chidioka family to the church to thank God for his faithfulness to the family. Governor Obiano, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke, urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the country and assured that all the promises made to the diocese, including immortalizing late literary icon Professor Chinua Achebe, would be met by his government. He said some of the houses built in honour of late Prof. Achebe especially some school buildings, now dilapidating, would be rebuilt and other promises made to the church would be fulfilled. Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Dogara, who was represented by Hon. Austin Chukwukere, representing Ideato North and South federal constituency, thanked Chidioka family for the love of God and remembering that they must give back to God who has done so much for them. Former Governor Obi said Nigeria was going through the most difficult time in her life and appealed for prayer for the country and President Muhammadu Buhari, away from the country receiving medical attention. Corps Marshal, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi said Nigerians should not be tired in praying for the country to move forward, just as they should not relent in praying and supporting the government of President Buhari to take the country where it should be economically and politically. In his speech Chief Chidioka, said: “Today we are celebrating the faithfulness of God to the family of Chidioka, He has been faithful in providing all we need in our family, our father will turn 90 years on November 9, 2016 and he pleaded that the birthday gift he want us to give him is the hall we have commissioned today.”
