UNEASY CONTEST AS UMAHI CLINCHES EBONYI SOUTH SENATORIAL SEAT

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Gov. David Umahi winner of Ebonyi South Senatorial Election.
INEC Returning Officer for Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Professor Ogugua Egwu, declared Gov. Umahi winner of the poll at the INEC Headquarters, Afikpo North Council Headquarters.
In a well contested election, Prof. Egwu announced that Chief Umahi polled 28,378 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chief Linus Abba Okorie of the Labour Party (LP), who polled 25,496.
