COLLATION: INEC DECLARES PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS FROM 8 LGAs IN EBONYI

Collation of Results for Presidential and National Assembly Elections conduct in Ebonyi State is on going at INEC Headquarters Abakaliki.

So far, results from eight Local Government Areas have been declared before the State Collation Officer who is the Vice Chancellor Univetsity of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Professor Charles Igwe, and monitored by INEC Consultative Committee on Election Security in Ebonyi State headed by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mrs. Onyeka Ugochi.

The Local Government Areas are Ishielu, Afikpo North, Afikpo South and Izzi.

Others are Ebonyi, Ikwo, Abakaliki and Ezza North Local Government Areas.

The REC, Mrs. Ugochi, had while declaring the Collation open commended INEC officials for their professionalism in the conduct of the Election, noting that Ebonyi was the first to commnence voting in the South East.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Plate Faleye, described the election as peaceful.
