COLLATION YET TO COMMENCE AT INEC HEADQTRS OWERRI, AS SOME RESIDENTS COMPLAIN OF NOT VOTING
Collation or results of the February 25 general election is ongoing at the designated local government area collation centers across Imo State.
At the Owerri Municipal Council Headquarters Owerri where collation of ward results was taking place, party agents, security personnel and election observers were seen monitoring the process.
Some party agents, who spoke with Radio Nigeria, expressed satisfaction with the level of transparency exhibited so far by INEC.
Collation of results of the presidential election is yet to commence at INEC headquarters Owerri as results from local government areas are still being expected.
Meanwhile there appears to be confusion in some areas where elections did not take place on Saturday.
Eligible voters came out in their numbers at Urban Development Secondary School World Bank Owerri this morning to exercise their franchise following speculations that elections would be conducted in areas where INEC could not conduct the exercise on Saturday.
The people are however disappointed as no official of the commission has been sighted near the voting center as at noon today.

National Electoral Commission in the state has not issued any official statement towards the conduct of the election since Saturday, a situation that has left both residents and journalists worried.
Officials of INEC, who spoke with Radio Nigeria on condition of anonymity, said they were not aware of any rescheduled election in areas where voting did not take place in Imo State.
