PETTY TRADERS MAKE BRISK BUSINESS AS ELECTION GOES ON IN ABIA

REPORTER: JOHN MADUAGWU

The large gathering of voters at polling units across Abia State was a good opportunity for some people to sell various materials to the voters.

The major articles on sale included water, non alcoholic drinks, biscuits, food, ground nuts, peanuts and other edible items.

At World Bank Primary School, Umuahia, some of the sellers were observed to have brought their goods, with some of them in wheel barrow just as some nearby shops were not left out as some people were hawking their items.

Water and carbonated drinks were the most commonly sold items due to the heat occasioned by the harsh weather condition.
