POLICE RECUE SUSPECTED KIDNAP VICTIM IN ANAMBRA

Police operatives patrolling the Anambra State section of the Uga- Akokwa road, have rescued one abducted victim and recovered a Tacoma SUV with reg No KJA 22 GB.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, made this known in a statement in Awka.

According to the statement, the operatives sighted the motionless vehicle in a bush opposite a fuel station on Uga-Akokwa road.

On approaching the vehicle, the police operatives discovered a man struggling for breath and with marks of violence all over his body.

The statement said that the victim had been taken to a hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention.

The statement noted that Investigation had commenced into the incident, which took place at 7am on Thursday.
