POLICE GUN DOWN 3 HOODLUMS IN EBONYI

Three suspected hoodlums have been shot dead following an attack on a police patrol team that claimed the life of a Police Officer at Isu in Onticha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State, Mr. Chris Anyanwu, explained that a joint team of security agents trailed the hoodlums to a camp at Isu where they launched a counter attack on them.
He stated that three were killed instantly while others escaped with bullet wounds.
Mr. Anyanwu said two other operations resulted in the arrest of two native doctors, whose names were given as Itumo Omukwor and Item Nwaduma, suspected to be operating a shrine where charms were being prepared for hoodlums at Ndufu Echara in Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.
Items allegedly recovered from the native doctors and the camp of the hoodlums in Isu included one fabricated pistol, one revolver pump action and charms.
Others were one AK 49 rifle, one AK 47 rifle, one AR rifle with one hundred and forty-seven rounds of AR ammunition as well as thirty-eight rounds of AK 47 ammunition.
