EBONYI STATE GOVT FUMES OVER KILLING OF SOLDIER AT BOUNDARY WITH ENUGU

Ebonyi State Government has condemned an attack on military men on duty at Uburu-Mpu, a boundary axis between Ebonyi and Enugu State.

Briefing journalists at this week’s Executive Council meeting at Government House Abakaliki, the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Uchenna Orji, explained that a soldier was shot dead during the attack.

He noted that the Council had directed security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous crime for prosecution.

Apart from security matters, Mr. Orji said the state government had mapped out a portion of land at Ebonyi State University permanent site for the development of a pocket layout under public private partnership.

He added that the council approved over two hundred million Naira for the completion of some internal roads in Ohazara Local Government Area.
