POLICE SHOOT DEAD TWO PERSONS ENFORCING SIT-AT-HOME ORDER IN EBONYI

Police in Ebonyi State have shot dead two hoodlums at Ebebe Junction by Ogbaga Road Abakaliki.
The two hoodlums and others were said to be blocking the road and molesting passers by to enforce the sit at home order when police operatives accosted them.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Aliyu Garba, explained that other members of the gang were arrested.
He noted that while people had right to stay at home, the constitutional right of individuals to move around must be maintained.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the suspected hoodlums had before the confrontation, set ablaze a vehicle and a motorcycle because their owners violated the sit at home order.
