MEDICAL BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT FMC UMUAHIA COLLAPSES

A section of the Accident and Emergency building under construction at Federal Medical Center, FMC, Umuahia has collapsed.
Speaking with journalists in his office, the Chief Medical Director, FMC Umuahia, Professor Azubuike Onyebuchi, said that the incident occurred Wednesday night shortly after a down pour.
The Chief Medical Director described the incident as very unfortunate, stating that he was still waiting for the report from the contractor handling the project to know what led to the collapse of the building.
Professor Onyebuchi said that no casualty was recorded as a result of the incident.
