NURSING MOTHER WHO WANTS TO SELL OWN BABY IN POLICE NET

The Police Command in Anambra State has apprehended a nursing mother, who allegedly tried to sell her baby boy.
The twenty-one year old suspect, Emilia Sunday, who hails from Awka-Ibom State, was arrested at Ire village, Ojoto in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state after she allegedly attempted to sell her three months old baby boy for one hundred and fifty thousand naira.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr. Haruna Muhammed, indicated that preliminary investigation revealed that the woman claimed she wanted to sell the baby due to hardship.
The Statement confirmed that the baby was rescued in good health condition and investigation was ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the matter.
