GOV. IHEDIOHA BEGINS ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION IN OWERRI
Imo State Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has directed the State Ministry of Environment to clear the refuse dump at Nekede Mechanic Village on Aba Road as a matter of urgency.
Governor Ihedioha stated this when he made an unscheduled inspection to Nekede dump site to follow up on the directive given during his inaugural speech at Dan Anyiam Stadium for the Ministry to ensure that Imo was clean.
The Governor urged the residents of Imo State to be patient as the government would do everything necessary to make health a priority.
Governor Ihedioha noted that his administration would fulfill its mandate as stated in his maiden manifesto during his inaugural speech on May 29, 2019.
The people of the area thanked the governor for the directive and appealed to him to ensure that the cleaning is done in the few days.
