GOV UMAHI PROMISES TO DEEPEN DEVELOPMENT IN HIS SECOND TENURE
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has been sworn in for the second term in office.
The State Chief Judge, Justice Alloy Nwankwo, administered oath of office and that of allegiance to the Governor and his Deputy, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium Abakaliki.
Taking the oath, Chief Umahi and Dr. Igwe promised to uphold the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and do justice to all manner of people irrespective of tribe.
In address, Governor Umahi expressed appreciation to the people of the state for giving him the second opportunity to serve them and echoed his commitment to make Ebonyi the best developed state in Nigeria.
Radio Nigeria observed that there was tight security as the people of the state and friends filled the stadium to capacity to witness the event.
