SOUTH EAST GOVERNORS CALL FOR FAIR TREATMENT OF THE ZONE IN THE LEADERSHIP OF THE 9TH ASSEMBLY
The Chairman of South East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Dave Umahi has called for fair treatment of the people of South East zone in the leadership of the 9th session of the National Assembly in the spirit of true federalism.
Governor Umahi made the call while receiving the Leader of the House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila at Presidential Lodge Government House Abakaliki.
He said though the zone lacked the number to produce leadership of both the Senate and House of Representatives, there was the need for accommodation of South East in top positions in the Chambers as an integral part of the nation.
Mr. Gbajabiamila explained that he was in the State to seek Governor Umahi’s support for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives which he was contesting.
