2 CHINESE KIDNAPPED IN EBONYI STATE, POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT OF THE KIDNAPPERS

Two Chinese expatriates have been abducted in Uburu, Ohozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The Chinese were said to have been taken away at a construction site by five masked armed men.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ebonyi State, Mrs. Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident, explained that the armed men shot sporadically before the abduction.

According to the PPRO, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Awosola Awotinde, has visited the scene of the incident while anti kidnapping squad has been deployed to the area to rescue the victims and arrest the gang.

Correspondent reports that the incident occurred at a road construction site located at the boundary between Ebonyi and Enugu State.
