HEAD ON COLLISION: 9 DEAD, 12 INJURED ON ENUGU-PORTHARCOURT EXPRESSWAY

Nine persons have lost their lives while 12 others sustained varying degrees injuries in an auto crash, which occurred Sunday night on the Ihie Axis of Enugu – Port Harcourt expressway.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, Mr. EbereAmarizu, the incident occurred when an articulated vehicle conveying a caterpillar had a head on collision with a 508 mini bus conveying passengers believed to be Christian worshippers.

Meanwhile, the deceased have been deposited at the UNTH mortuary,ItukuOzallawhile the injured are receiving treatment in the same hospital.
