IROEGBU EMERGES AGAP GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE IN IMO STATE
A United Kingdom based Management Consultant, Dr. Iroegbu Njoku, has emerged candidate of All Grand Alliance Party, (AGAP) in 2019 governorship election in Imo State.
Dr. Njoku polled a total of 320 votes to beat his only opponent, Chief Chuks Okonya, who got 160 votes.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Returning Officer to the election, Chief Ken Oputa, said Dr. Iroegbu Njoku would fly the flag of the party having scored the highest number of valid votes cast in the election.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Iroegbu Njoku promised to tackle poverty, create jobs and improve health care services if elected governor of the state.
The State Chairman of AGAP, Mr. Ugo C. Ugo, described the election as transparent, noting that the party will provide the needed leadership to the people.
