WE WILL ADDRESS FACILITY DEFICITS IN SOUTHEAST RADIO NIG FM STATIONS —ZD

The Zonal Director Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Enugu National Station, Pastor Emmanuel Inegbedion, says measures are being put in place to address facility deficit in Radio Nigeria Fm Stations and re-orientate staff for better service delivery in the zone.

He stated this while addressing the staff of Radio Nigeria Unity Fm during a facility tour of the station in Abakaliki.

Pastor Inegbedion who was at Radio Nigeria Unity Fm Abakaliki in company of the Deputy Director Programmes in the Zone, Mr. Gregory Odiakosa, noted that the tour was informed by the need to ascertain the level of facility challenge confronting Radio Nigeria Fm stations across South East zone.

He explained that the tour of Unity Fm Abakaliki had been revealing as it was an opportunity to feel the pulse of the staff and promised to give urgent attention to some of the critical challenges impeding the operation of the broadcasting House.

Pastor Inegbedion called on the staff to improve on their work ethics while there must be concerted efforts by the Engineering Department to ensure that signals of the Radio Station were better.

The General Manager of Unity Fm Abakaliki, Nze Okpani Nkama Junior, described the visit of the Zonal Director as apt.

He noted that it afforded the Management and staff the opportunity to provide the Zonal Director with first hand information on areas of urgent intervention.

Some members of staff of the Fm station, Mr. Justice Eze of News Department and Mr. Godwin Ugwuta of the Programmes Department, expressed the hope that the visit would bring a huge turn around for the station and assured Pastor Inegbedion of their unwavering commitment to duty.

The visit featured a staff forum where the Zonal Director fielded questions and approved immediate provision of some computer sets to aid studio operations.
