UZODIMMA DISSOLVES LGA INTERIM MGT COUNCIL IN IMO

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has dissolved the 27 man Interim Management Council (IMC) of the state.

This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku.

According to the statement, the Governor made the dissolution after a closed door meeting with the IMC Chairmen where he thanked them immensely for the services rendered within a period of two and half years.

The statement noted that the Governor had resolved to hold a local government election in few days and further indicated that Sole Administrators would be appointed to oversee the local government areas ahead of the upcoming election.

It said that the Governor promised to engage the services of the dissolved IMC Chairmen in other areas they were found capable as APC members.

Responding, the ALGON Chairman, Mr. Willie Okoliogwo, who untill the dissolution, was also the Chairman of Orlu West Local Government Area, said the members would be ever loyal to the present administration at all times.
