UMAHI APPOINTS NEW COMMISSIONER

REPORTER: AMECHI ODO

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has appointed Professor Humphry Nwaobashi as the new Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Professor Nwaobashi, who until his new appointment was a Senior Lecturer in Ebonyi State University, replaced the former Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Chief Ogodo Ali Nomeh, who resigned his position recently to contest for the Chairmanship position of Ezza North Local Government Area.

At his swearing in at Government House Abakaliki, Governor Umahi charged the new Commissioner to revive the state’s agricultural sector by reaching out to partners and stakeholders.

Responding, the new Commissioner, Professor Nwaobashi, extolled the Governor for finding him worthy to serve.
