SOLUDO CALLS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE AS HE SWEARS IN COUNCIL CHAIRMEN, COUNCILORS

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State says his administration will work in synergy with the local government councils in the area to speed up the development agenda of his administration.

Governor Soludo, who stated this during the swearing in of the newly elected local government chairmen and their deputies, assured the people that both tiers of government were aligned in their efforts to improve on the welfare of the citizens.

While congratulating the newly elected 21 chairmen and councilors, Governor Soludo admonished them to be committed and dedicated to their duty.

The Governor reminded the elected council leaders of their Oath of Allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, underscoring the importance of accountability and transparency in the administration of their local governments.

The Governor also commended the women who were elected as Vice Chairmen, expressing confidence in their ability to work collaboratively with the chairmen to drive development in their various jurisdictions.

Governor Soludo hinted plans to package a retreat for the newly elected chairmen to focus on the principles of good governance.
