SECURITY AGENTS RESCUE SIX ABDUCTED JOURNALISTS IN ANAMBRA

Joint security forces in Anambra State have successfully rescued six members of the media crew who were abducted while travelling from Lagos to Uyo along Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement, said operations were still ongoing for the possible rescue of the 7th crew member.
Mr. Ikenga said members of the public would be updated on the development.
Radio Nigeria gathered that there was shooting spree between the kidnappers and security agents, causing a chaotic situation in the area.
There were reports of unconfirmed death and injuries of people who were hit by stray bullets and the chaotic situation.
