POLICE ARREST THREE OVER MURDER OF COUPLE IN ABIA

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a couple in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State on Tuesday this week.

The Police Public Relations Officer of Abia State Police Command, Mrs. Maureen Chinaka, gave the update in a statement.

According to the statement, the suspects were undergoing interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

It notef that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danladi Isa, was determined to solve the mystery behind the murder and ensure prompt dispensation of justice.

The victims, identified as 78 year old Mr. Jacob Udo and his 73 year old wife, Dorcas, of Ndiwo Itumbuzo, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State but resident in Etiti-Ulo in the same local government area were gruesomely murdered in their home on Tuesday night while several property were reportedly carted away from the house.
