OTTI INAUGURATES HARMONISED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS TASKFORCE

Governor Alex Otti has inaugurated the Abia State Harmonised Taskforce on Petroleum products.

At the ceremony in Umuahia, Governor Alex Otti charged the taskforce to be tough on pipeline vandals and erring petroleum marketers at various filling stations in the state.

The Governor represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Uzor Nwachukwu, who is also the Chairman of the committee, bemoaned the activities of oil bunkering in the state.

He urged them to discharged their duties without fear or favour, by ensuring that people who engage in fraudulent dispensing of petroleum products did not have a place in the state.

He said government expected that a lot of revenues would accrue to the state through their activities.

Responding the Leader, of the team, Retired Air Commodore Sunday Azubuike, thanked the Governor for the opportunity given them to served and promised that they would put in their best.
