FRCN ENUGU PARTNERS 82 DIV TO SECURE BROADCAST INSTALLATIONS

The Nigeria Army says it will take advantage of the wide coverage and high listenership of Radio Nigeria to effectively communicate its activities to the people of South East.

The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Nigerian Army Enugu, Major General Hassan Dada stated this when management of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu National Station paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Describing the military as a unifier and binder of any nation, Major General Dada urged some people in the South East to change their negative perception of the operations of the Military.

He stressed the need for change of attitude and collaboration, especially in information sharing to rid the zone off insecurity.

The GOC advised the public to access quick response and services of the Military by dailing on their mobile phone, 193 and select option two.

Earlier, the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Enugu National Station, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze said the essence of the visit was to partner the military in information dissemination for the people of the South East.

Mr. Eze while lamenting the continued vandalism of the corporation’s equipment and installations across the zone, which he said had resulted in malfunctioning of some of its stations, appealed to the Military for adequate protection.

The Zonal Director maintained that Radio Nigeria Enugu is currently undergoing total overhauling of its equipment and pleaded with its listeners to continue to keep faith with their darling station as it would soon bounce back to serve them better.

He urged its esteemed listeners to visit; www.radionigeriaenugu.gov.ng to temporary get the information, education and entertainment they required.

The managements of FRCN and the 82 Division Nigerian Army also discussed collaborative measures to improve the services of Coalcityfm Enugu and the Udoka FM.

The Udoka FM, Enugu belongs to the army.
