FIRST LADY OFFERS SUPPORT TO 1000 EBONYI PETTY TRADERS

The Wife of the President, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, has empowered 1000 Women Petty traders in Ebonyi State with a grant of N50,000.00 each.

Represented by the wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Mary Maudline Nwifuru at the event in Abakaliki, the wife of the President explained that the grant was to enable them to grow their businesses in line with the Renewed Hope Initiative Economic programme.

She noted that over one billion Naira had been mapped out for the programme, which was on going across all states of the Federation.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs in the State, Mrs. Felicia Nwankpuma, said the state government through BERWO Pet Project of the Wife of the Governor had provided succor to many women in the state and thanked the Wife of the President for ensuring that more women were supported economically.

Some of the beneficiaries promised to use the fund to enhance their businesses.
