END OF ORIENTATION: NYSC IMO STATE DIRECTOR CALLS FOR PATRIOTISM

REPORTER: CHINAZO ILECHUKWU

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Imo State have been urged to take advantage of the community development service of the scheme to impact positively on the lives of the people.

The Coordinator of the scheme in Imo State, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, gave the charge at the end of a three-week orientation course organized for this year’s “Batch B Stream One” corps members at Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state.

She noted that the corps members had been equipped both physically and intellectually to tackle any challenge that they might encounter during the service year.

Mrs. Idaewor encouraged them to be patriotic, disciplined and committed to the ideals of the scheme, adding that NYSC would continue to prioritize the welfare of the corps members.

The NYSC Coordinator stressed the need for the corps members to be security conscious and acquaint themselves with the culture of their host communities while striving to contribute their quota towards national development.
