EBONYI STATE GOVT BEGINS WATER RETICULATION TO SOME PARTS OF ABAKALIKI

Ebonyi State Government says it has commenced the pumping of water from Ezilo Water Scheme to some parts of Abakaliki metropolis.

A statement by the Commissioner for Water Resources in the State, Mr. Chinedum Nkah, explained that the water supply covered 60 streets and residential areas, including Udensi, Afikpo Road and Ebebe Junction.

He advised residents of the affected areas and their environs whose houses had not got water to visit the Ministry of Water Resources for immediate action.

The Commissioner warned the residents against illegal connection and other unwholesome activities likely to disrupt the ongoing reticulation of water from the scheme.

Mr. Nkah also advised them to report cases of pipe leakages or vandalism of water facilities at any location to the ministry.
