CALL FOR PEACE, UNITY & PRAYERS FOR LEADERS AS MUSLIMS CELEBRATE EID- EL KABIR IN ABIA

The Chief Imam Umuahia Central Mosque, Alhaji Aminu Lawan, has called on Muslim faithful to use the period of Eid-El kabir to pray for the peace and unity of the country.

The Chief Imam made the call during the Eid prayer at Umuahia Township Stadium.

He urged the faithful to always show love to one another irrespective of religious differences.

Alhaji Aminu also urged the Muslim adherents to remember those in leadership positions in prayers for them to receive God’s blessings and guidance as they pilot the affairs of the country and state.

Also, the Sarikin Hausawa of Abia State, Alhaji Yaro Danladi, used the occasion to applaud both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Alex Otti in their efforts towards repositioning of the country and the state.

He called on Muslim faithful to always ensure they live in peace and harmony with their host communities.

Highlight was the slaughtering of a ram by the Chief Imam.
