BE ACCURATE IN YOUR DATA RECORD — TRAINERS URGE WORKERS IN ENUGU HHEALTH MINISTRY

REPORTER: EMEFIENA OKONKWO

Civil servants in Enugu State under the Ministry of Health and the Primary Healthcare Development Agency are encouraged to be committed to their duties and ensure that they enter data correctly in the dashboards & records for planning and seamless implementation of government policies.

National Facilitator, Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Mr. Usman Abdulazeez, gave the advice in Enugu during a two day “Stakeholders Engagement, Training on Nutrition Commodities, Logistics Management, Information System and Quantification at State level.”

He encouraged participants in the training to form the habit of data recording for a verifiable appraisal of nutrition situation in the state.

Another resource person, Mr. Nnaemeka Aniagor, highlighted the supply chain management and procedure for recording nutrition supplements.

Also, the Enugu State Nutrition Officer, Mrs. Loveth Onwuzulike, urged participants to equip themselves with the knowledge that would enable them to perform better, as that was the essence of the workshop.

Mrs. Onwuzulike equally encouraged them to acquire tools which would advance their work such as android phones and not wait for government or development partners to provide them with all the tools of trade.

The workshop was sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with support from Nutrition International while there were goodwill messages from UNICEF and other development partners.
