RADIO NIGERIA, ENUGU PARTNERS NSCDC TO BOOST SECURITY

The Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu National Station, Mr. Ike Okere, has called for closer working relationship between Radio Nigeria and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for sustained security and overall well being of Nigerians.

Mr. Okere made the call in Umuahia during a courtesy visit to the Abia State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Dr.  Benito Eze. The Zonal Director, observed that security had become a major problem at Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM Umuahia due to its location and solicited the assistance of the Corps in reversing the situation. He stressed the need for the Command to take advantage of various programmes of the station to enlighten the people on the activities of the Corps.

The General Manager of Pacesetter FM Umuahia, Mrs. Gina Daka-Osika, stated that the station was determined to create a platform that would be mutually beneficial to both organizations.

Responding, the Commandant of NSCDC, in Abia State Command, Dr. Benito Eze, said adequate measures would be put in place to address security issues affecting Pacesetter FM Umuahia stressing that securities was vital for all facets of the society.

Dr. Eze used the opportunity to commend the efforts of Radio Nigeria in rendering effective service to the society.
