GOV UGWUANYI CAUTIONS MDAs AGAINST REJECTING CORPS MEMBERS

The Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has urged ministries, agencies and educational Institutions not to reject Corps members sent to them for primary assignment.

Governor Ugwuanyi stated this in a message to the closing ceremony of the 2017, Batch B stream II NYSC Orientation Course in Awgu Local Government Area.

The Governor who was represented by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Mr. Uwakwe Azikiwe, said the State Government would condemn any act that would negatively affect corps members in the State.

The State Coordinator, NYSC, Enugu State, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka, commended the Corps members for their discipline and commitment during the three weeks exercise.

Some Corps members interviewed restated their commitment to keep to the regulations of the National Youth Service Corps scheme in serving the country.

Meanwhile, 2,114 Corps members deployed to Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states participated in the exercise.
