Nigerian Professional Football League Weekend Results

Rangers International FC are back on top of the NPFL despite dropping their first points at home this season on the back of a 1-1 draw with shooting stars.

The technical adviser of Rangers FC Imama Amapakabo said that he thinks his team is going through a psychological phase, they got to the point where they felt they can walk over any team so it is left for the team to go back home and work on their psychic.

Rangers now has 28 points from 15 matches, a point clear of second placed Kano Pillars with Abia Warriors a close third.

Champions Enyimba also beat Niger Tornadoes 2-1 in Umuahia

At the Warri City Stadium, Rivers United stunned their hosts Warri Wolves 1-0

Lobi Stars defeated MFM FC 1-0 at Aper Akin Stadium Makurdi to extend their unbeaten home streak to 54 games.

Akwa United edged out FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 in Uyo.

In Owerri, Heartland FC beat El Kanemi Warriors 2-1

Wikki Tourists saw off Nasarawa United 2-1 in Bauchi while the game between Plateau United and Sunshine Stars ended in a barren draw.
