UGWUANYI SIGNS 2018 ENUGU STATE BUDGET INTO LAW

Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has signed the state’s 2018 Appropriation Bill in into Law.

The Budget, tagged “Budget of Sustainability and Economic Growth” was bench marked at ₦103,000, 563, 500 (one hundred and three billion, five hundred and sixty-three thousand, five hundred thousand naira).

Governor Ugwuanyi commended the State House of Assembly for the speedy passage of the bill and assured the people of the State of government’s commitment to its implementation.

Earlier, while handing over the document, the Speaker of the House, Chief Edward Ubosi said that the over ₦100 billion budget was an increase from last year’s budget of over 98 billion naira.

Chief Ubosi explained that the increase was to accommodate various roads in the State that needed urgent attention.

The 2018 Budget was presented to the Enugu State House of assembly on the of December, 28, 2018 last year.
