UCHENNA OKAFOR ELECTED SPEAKER ANAMBRA STATE ASSEMBLY; PASCAL AGBODIKE BECOMES THE DEPTY
The Seventh Anambra State House of Assembly has been inaugurated with Mr. Uchenna Okafor representing Ayamelum Constituency emerging as the Speaker of the House.
The motion to nominate the Speaker was moved by the member representing Onitsha North II constituency, Mr. Edward lbuzo and seconded by Chief Lawrence Ezeudu, representing lhiala II Constituency.
Mr. Pascal Agbodike also emerged as the Deputy Speaker.
The member representing Njikoka 1 Constituency, Dr. Timothy lfedioramma, moved the motion to nominate Mr. Agbodike and it was seconded by the member representing Orumba North Constituency, Mr. Emeka Aforka.
Meanwhile, the new Speaker, Mr. Okafor and the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Pascal Agbodike were sworn in by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Pius Udo
