SENATOR GIL NNAJI PRESENTS HIS SCORE CARD TO CONSTITUENTS

Over 500 individuals, 2 markets and 2 rural communities have benefitted from the economic empowerment scheme of the senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Gilbert Nnaji.

Senator Nnaji made the presentation to his Constituents at Nkwo Nike during an event to render account of his stewardship in the upper legislative chamber.

Items presented included over 210 tricycles, 120 deep freezers, 100 Power Generating Sets, 10 motorized wheel chairs to physically challenged persons and undisclosed sums of money to 60 widows.

He also presented Kenyatta and Timber Shade Markets with 500 KVA Transformers each while 5 units of 3000KVA transformers were distributed to Nomeh and Nkerrefi communities.

Senator Nnaji who enumerated completed and on-going Health, ICT and road projects he had so far attracted, promised to attract more, in spite of poor budgetary implementation.

“While I admit that we may not have reached our destination, I am still committed to my social contract with you, my dear people; I am still being inspired to invest in our land.

“And that is why in spite of poor implementation of budgets and general economic challenges facing the country, we can look around and thank God for the gradual and silent transformations going on across the senatorial district.”

He commended the cordial relationship between Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Federal Lawmakers in the State which had ensured peace and steady delivery of infrastructure development.

“He has unified the leaders and elders of the state such that political parties today in the state merely exist on books and access to better life is no longer determined by political considerations or undemocratic sentiments.

“Worthy of note is the uncommon harmony existing in the state between his administration and the federal lawmakers from the state, which indeed is the first of its kind in the history of the state.”

Some beneficiaries who could not hold their tears of joy including the widows and physically challenged while receiving the items commended the efforts of Senator Nnaji in ameliorating their plight.

The Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; the Deputy, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo; the Deputy President of the Senate, Professor Ike Ekweremadu; his fellow Federal Lawmakers and members of the Enugu State House of Assembly alongside traditional rulers attended the event.
