PROTECT GOVT. INSTALLATIONS IN YOUR AREA – ENUGU DEPUTY GOV. TELLS IWOLLO COMMUNITY

The People of Aguobu Iwollo in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State are urged to guard the Federal and State Governments’ investments in education at the Permanent Site of the State Polytechnic, Iwollo jealously.

The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, announced this at the Foundation Laying of the School of Agricultural Technology and the School of Applied Sciences, Computing and Related Technology at the Permanent Site of the State Polytechnic.

Mrs. Ezeilo noted that the establishment of institutions of higher learning was one of the fastest means of attracting development to rural communities and advised the people to take full advantage of the situation.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Mr. Chinedu Onu, in a speech acknowledged that the people were privileged to have benefitted from the Federal Government’s intervention fund, the 2017 Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND intervention.

Earlier in an address of welcome, the Rector of the Institution, Professor Chukwuemeka Akubuilo expressed gratitude to God that the proposed journey to the Permanent Site at Aguobu Iwollo had become a reality.

Professor Akubuilo thanked the Federal and State Governments as well as the Chairman of the Governing Council, Mr. Chinedu Onu, for the outstanding role he played in attracting TETFUND to the School.

The Engineers of the contracting firms handling the projects, Messrs Godfrey Esimobi and Michael Izunwanne, had promised to complete the projects at the permanent site which span across 150 (one hundred and fifty) hectares on record time.

Meanwhile, the people of the area, who turned out in large numbers, expressed gratitude to the Governments and the School Management for their gestures.
