GOV. UZODINMA PROMISES PROMPT PAYMENTS OF SALARY AND PENSION

Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma, has assured workers and pensioners in the state of prompt payment of their entitlements.

Chief Uzodinma made the pledge at the government house in Owerri, when he received leadership of the organized labour in the state.

The Governor said he had come to serve the interest of people of the state while promising that the present administration would soon commence the implementation of the new National Minimum Wage once he received the report from the committee.

Chief Uzodinma said his administration was would ensure that civil service in the state was restored to its lost glory.

Responding, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress Imo State Chapter, Comrade Austin Chilakpu, assured the Governor of cordial industrial relationship.

Comrade Chilakpu reinstated the readiness of the organized labour in the state to partner the present administration to develop the state.
