GOV UZODINMA DISSOLVES IHEDIOHA’S EXCO, LG CARETAKER MANAGEMENT, APPOINTS PRINCIPAL OFFICERS

The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has dissolved the state executive council constituted by the immediate past administration in the state.

In a statement signed by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Theordore Nwokonkwo, the members of the expanded executive council were directed to conclude all hand over formalities to Permanaent Secretary or most senior servant in their respective ministries, departments and agencies before the close of work on Friday.

Similarly, the Governor has sacked members of the interim management committee appointed by his predecessor Chief Emeka Ihedioha in the twenty seven local government areas of the state.

He further directed them to hand over immediately to the Directors of Administration and General Services in the councils.

Meanwhile, the Governor has approved the appointment of Mr. Cosmas Iwu as the Secretary to the State Government.

Also appointed is Mr. Cyprian Akaolisa as the Attorney General and Commissuoner for Justice; Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie was named Chief of Staff to the Governor; while Mr. Oguike Nwachukwu is the Chief Press Secretary.

The appointments are with immediate effect.
