ELECTION UPDATES IN OJI RIVER LGA ENUGU STATE.

Accreditation and voting are progressing well in the polling units so far visited in more than five wards in Oji river LGA.Enugu state.

As at 8.45am at the UPE ward 4 mile two oji river,turn out of voters were low.according to the presiding officer the four card readers in the ward are working, they had enough materials in the ward and they are all working.they had enough voting materials and even for the physically challenged.

As at 9.30 in the morning, at Ahani Achiagu Ward one with two polling units, the turnout was also low.three security personnel, one police and two civil Defence officers were seen on ground. two party agents for PDP and APC indicated the conduct of the elections had been generally peaceful.an elderly man of one hundred and five years, Mr Benjamin Ezeaghanam explained he was happy to witness this elections.

He advised candidates that would emerge to fulfill their campaign promises and condemned vote buying and violence in the nations politics.at ten minutes past ten in the morning at Obune Inyi ward three, turnout of voters was impressive, election officials noted that voting materials were enough and card readers didn’t malfunction.

In an interview,A PDP candidate for Oji river constituency at the ward, Mr Jeff Mbah stated the conduct had been smooth and peaceful.He commended INEC for commencing accreditation and voting on time.
