COLLATION OF RESULTS IN PROGRESS IN IMO STATE

Results of the presidential and National Assembly elections are still being collated at the local government levels across Imo state.
The state is generally peaceful and people are anxiously waiting for the final declaration of results especially that of the National Assembly .
Some eligible voters who could not exercise their franchise yesterday are asking whether INEC will conduct fresh elections in their areas or whether they have been disenfranchised.

One of such is  at the community secondary school Agballa in Owerri North where the people resisted the exercise owing to non availability of result sheets and incomplete ballot papers.
Security is beefed at INEC head office in Owerri venue for collation of presidential election result.
The Public Relations Officer of the Commission in Imo state Mrs Emmanuella Opara told correspondent Chinazo Ilechukwu that collation of presidential result will commence as soon as returning officers turn in results from the local govt areas.
Election was held across 27 local govt areas of Imo state .
