COLLATION OF PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTION RESULTS IN EBONYI STATE IN PROGRESS

Collation of results for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections is being concluded at the three Senatorial zones of Ebonyi state.

In Ebonyi South, the collation is taking place at the INEC Office in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the State.

The story is thesame at INEC Office in Onueke in Ezza South Local government Area where the winners of the senatorial Election for Ebonyi central and that of House of Representatives for Ikwo and Ezza South Federal constituency will be declared.

For Ebonyi North senatorial zone, results are being collated at INEC office in Nkaliki, the headquarters of Abakaliki Local Government Area.

However, some results from Edda ward and some parts of Izzi Local Government Area were turned in this afternoon and may have accounted for the delay in the collation.

Correspondent Amechi Odo gathered that some Corps members deployed to Amachi Ndegu in Abakaliki Local Government Area as Presiding officers and Assistant Presiding Officers were allegedly attacked by youths in the area who swooped on them at a ward collation centre and demanded for the result sheets.
