The Owerri Zonal Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has resolved to continue to foster unity among members of the party and pursue all inconclusive governance anchored on equity and justice. In a communiqué read at the end of a meeting held in Owerri, the Leader of the Forum, Prince Lemmy Akakeem, urged the entire people of Imo East Senatorial district to throw their weight behind the present administration in the state, which they said had demonstrated determination to develop the state.
According to Mr. Akakeem, the ongoing effort to address infrastructural deficit in the state and massive construction of roads in the zone were clear indications that Imo East stood to benefit a lot from the Senator Hope Uzodimma-led government.
Prince Akakeem said the forum commended Governor Uzodimma for appointing sons and daughters of the zone in his cabinet and further passed a vote of confidence on him for demonstrating political will in confronting numerous challenges facing the state. Prince Akakeem urged members of the party to rededicate themselves to the lofty objectives of the APC with a view to making it remain the only vehicle through which the people could meet their aspirations.
The meeting was well attended by prominent members of the party and some serving members of the state executive council from the zone.
