APC ALLEGES PLOT TO MANIPULATE 2019 ELECTIONS IN ENUGU STATE

The Spokesperson of All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate in Enugu State, Senator Ayogu Eze Campaign Organisation, Prince Steve Orurua has called for a level playing ground for candidates in the 2019 elections to test their popularities.

Prince Orurua made the call at a News Briefing in Enugu.

He claimed that the people of the State were clamoring for a change of government and the Electorate should be allowed to make the right choice through the polls.

Prince Orurua accused the PDP led government in the State of plotting to manipulate next year’s elections in the area.

According to him, the State Government in connivance with the electoral umpire is compelling Civil Servants, Traders and Students to submit details of their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.

“It has been drawn to our notice that Enugu workers, traders, retirees and students are being compelled to surrender the particulars of their Voter Cards through photocopy apparently in connivance with INEC to manipulate the electoral process. This is condemnable, it’s unacceptable.”

Prince Orurua called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter, stressing that the electorate owed nobody any duty on the use of their PVCs other than for elections.

He frowned upon what he described as campaign of calumny against Senator Ayogyu Eze.

“The Petition that has been written is completely baseless, let investigation be carried out by anti-graft agencies who we trust that they know the job. We are calling on Enugu people in their thousands to remain steadfast in the love and passion they have for Senator Ayogu Eze.”
