A Methodist priest, the Reverend Kelechi Nwandu, has charged Christians to endeavour to work to qualify to be sons of God.
Speaking on the topic: “you are no longer slaves but sons and daughters,” at St Michael’s Methodist Church, Ariaria Circuit, Aba, the Rev Nwandu said God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for man, thus making Christians His Sons and Heirs.
According to the clergyman, the birth of Jesus Christ redeemed those under the law and hence made them to receive the full right of sons that would guarantee the kingdom of God.
He noted that it was the devil who polluted man and made him to deviate from holiness, righteousness and purity, but God decided to have man back to His holiness.
The Rev. Nwandu therefore admonished Christians to change for the better as they prepared to enter New Year.
Also, the Presbyter of the church, the Very Reverend Emmanuel Inegbu, said Jesus was born to save man from sins and be reconnected with God, guarantee victory over the visititudes of life.
